Zelensky dismisses Trofimov as first deputy head of President's Office

President Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed Serhiy Trofimov from the post of first deputy head of the President's Office and appointed him as his adviser.

The corresponding decrees of November 4 have been published on the website of the head of state, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"To relieve Serhiy Trofimov of the post of First Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine in accordance with his resignation letter," the document says.

By another decree, the head of state appointed Trofimov as his advisor (freelance).

Trofimov was in charge of regional policy in the President's Office.

He was appointed as first deputy head of the Presidential Administration on May 21, 2019. On June 25, 2019, after the reorganization of the Presidential Administration into the President's Office, he was reappointed as first deputy head of the Office.
