They discussed these issues during a meeting on October 26, the Foreign Ministry’s press service reported.

"The parties discussed the issue of nuclear disarmament and reaffirmed joint approaches to the UN General Assembly resolution entitled "Joint Courses of Action and Future-Oriented Dialogue Towards a World Without Nuclear Weapons." The interlocutors agreed that the adoption of this resolution would be another step towards strengthening the efforts of the international community in the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, nuclear disarmament, as well as control over weapons of mass destruction," the report says.

The deputy minister and the ambassador noted the positive experience of cooperation between the two countries in defense and security, which is taking place within the framework of a memorandum between the defense ministries of Ukraine and Japan.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the interlocutors agreed to continue the Ukrainian-Japanese consultations in the field of countering cyber threats, as well as to strengthen cooperation in defense and security sectors.
