UK Foreign Secretary welcomes Zelensky to London
“Welcome to London, President Zelensky. Ukraine is a key ally for the UK with the UK-Ukraine trade at £1.5bn last year. By signing the Political, Free Trade & Strategic Partnership Agreement tomorrow, we will strengthen the historic ties between our two countries,” Raab posted on Twitter.
As reported, the United Kingdom will provide additional £5 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine to fund the needs of internally displaced persons and communities in the occupied Donbas.
October 7-8, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska make a state visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The President of Ukraine will hold talks with Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson, after which the UK-Ukraine Agreement on Political Cooperation, Free Trade and Strategic Partnership is expected to be signed.
It is also planned to sign a number of bilateral documents on defence cooperation and financial support for bilateral projects.
