Azerbaijan planning to deepen strategic partnership with Ukraine - MFA

The Republic of Azerbaijan is planning to deepen its strategic partnership and friendship with Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan wrote this on Twitter.

¨Azerbaijan firmly supports sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders. We appreciate that Azerbaijan is identified as one of strategic partners of Ukraine in new national security concept. We'll further deepen our strategic partnership and friendship with Ukraine,¨ reads the report.

Earlier, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ukraine Elmira Akhundova during a meeting with Ukrinform Director General Oleksandr Kharchenko stressed that Azerbaijan and Ukraine support each other's territorial integrity, including within international organizations.

Diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Azerbaijan were established on February 6, 1992.

The Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Azerbaijan has been operating since May 5, 1996.

The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Ukraine launched its work on March 12, 1997.
