Australia extends sanctions against Russia over Ukraine – Kuleba

Ukrinform
Australia has extended sanctions against the Russian Federation imposed for violation of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said this at an online briefing on Friday, September 4, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Australia extended sanctions against the Russian Federation for the next three years or until Russia fulfills its obligations under the Minsk agreements. We received an official communication from the Government of Australia about this; the decision is final," Kuleba said.

The minister noted that Australia has updated the sanctions list, and it currently includes 37 entities and 101 individuals from the Russian Federation.

“I’d like to thank my Australian colleague and the Australian Government for their consistent and decisive support for Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression,” Kuleba said.

As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine is working with international partners both to maintain sanctions against Russia and to introduce additional restrictive measures for each new violation of international law by the Kremlin.
