Government revokes order to allocate almost UAH 50M to SBU to fight COVID-19

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has revoked a government order to allocate almost UAH 49.9 million to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) for the purchase and implementation of the Verint Nowforce dispatching and response system needed to implement measures to prevent the spread of acute respiratory disease COVID-19, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"The cancellation of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine order No. 389-r of April 8, 2020 to ensure the effective use of funds from the reserve fund of the state budget, according to which it was envisaged to allocate UAH 49.898 million to the Security Service of Ukraine for the purchase and implementation of the Verint Nowforce dispatching and response system needed to implement measures aimed at preventing the spread of acute respiratory disease СOVID-19 […] The SBU proposes canceling Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine order No. 389-r of April 8, 2020 'On the allocation of funds from the reserve fund of the state budget' as the one that has not been realized," an explanatory note to the order reads.
