Presidents of Ukraine and Switzerland to visit Donbas on Thursday

President Zelensky stated this at a joint press conference following the bilateral talks in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“The day after tomorrow, together with Mrs. President [of the Swiss Confederation], we will visit Donbas and our citizens living along the frontline. It is very important and valuable for me when world leaders, who come to Ukraine, travel to the East with me and see with their own eyes how much disaster the war has brought to Ukraine," Zelensky said.

According to him, Simonetta Sommaruga stressed during the meeting that the Swiss government is ready to actively assist Ukrainians in Donbas, in particular by providing them with drinking water through the modernization of infrastructure.

As reported, on July 20-23, President of the Swiss Confederation Simonetta Sommaruga will be on an official visit to Ukraine at the invitation of President Volodymyr Zelensky.
