Dzhaparova becomes chairperson of National Commission for UNESCO

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Emine Dzhaparova as Chairperson of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO to replace Serhiy Kyslytsia.

The decree on the appointment (No.272/2020) has been posted on the president’s website.

"To appoint First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova as Chairperson of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO, relieving [Serhiy] Kyslytsia of these duties," the document says.

Emine Dzhaparova served as first deputy information policy minister between 2016=2019.

On June 10, 2020, she was appointed to the post of first deputy minister for foreign affairs.
