France to constantly help strengthen Ukraine’s security – ambassador

“The aim of our support for Ukraine consists of two things: providing assistance to eastern regions and constantly strengthening the security sector of Ukraine. And in this context, two projects are aimed at these goals,” the diplomat said at a press conference.

According to him, the practical implementation of these projects is nearing completion. “The first project concerns the supply of 55 helicopters for the needs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and the second – the supply of 20 patrol boats, five of which, according to the terms of the signed contract, will be produced by Ukrainian enterprises,” Etienne de Poncins said, adding that the official signing ceremony will take place next week.

According to the ambassador, these projects give Ukraine the opportunity to take advantage of very interesting and profitable financing from France.

As Ukrinform reported, France implements and plans to implement a number of projects in Ukraine totalling 1.5 billion euros. These projects are carried out on financial terms which are attractive to our country, which became possible thanks to the Directorate General of the Treasury of France.
