The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Constitutional Court work jointly to protect the interests of the state and the Basic Law.

“There are often discussions, but the truth is born in discussions. I am sure that we are moving in the same direction and working to protect the interests of the state and the Constitution as the Basic Law of our country," he said.

The Ukrainian speaker added that the cooperation between the Constitutional Court and the parliament is constructive and effective.

Razumkov also noted the important role of the Constitutional Court in finding shortcomings in bills.

"Our coordinated work improves the legislation on many issues and helps to get out of difficult situations. The main thing is that all institutions work for the benefit of the state of Ukraine," he said.

He also congratulated the chairman of the Venice Commission on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the body and noted that Ukraine will soon also celebrate an important anniversary - 30 years of the national parliamentarism.

Razumkov thanked the Venice Commission for its many years of assistance in improving Ukrainian legislation.
