NSDC Secretary: Assistance of United States is crucial for Ukraine

“We are grateful to the United States for its resolute and consistent support for the independence and territorial integrity of our country, as well as its movement towards democratic reforms. The US’ assistance is critical to defending Ukraine from external aggression,” Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov commented on the information about the provision of the US’ security assistance to Ukraine, the NSDC press service informs.

According to Danilov, military-technical cooperation between Ukraine and the United States is actively developing, so the openness to strategic partners in informing about security sector reform is crucial for Ukraine.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine assured that Ukraine’s path towards implementing the reform of the defense-industrial complex, taking into account the best world experience, remained unchanged.

As reported, the U.S. Embassy's Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC) received over $60 million worth of military equipment, including radios, ammunition, and Javelin anti-tank missiles, and transferred it to Ukrainian partners.
