Parliament sends Government's action plan for follow-up revision

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has sent the Program of Activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for follow-up revision.

A corresponding decision was supported by 245 MPs, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to the text of the program, the priority regional activities of the Cabinet of Ministers include the formation of effective local self-government and public authorities on a new territorial basis, optimization of the system of territorial organization of local government, improvement of the administrative-territorial structure.

As reported, the Government registered in the Verkhovna Rada a draft resolution №3330 "On the Program of Activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine" on April 13. The Cabinet of Ministers approved its program of activities at an extraordinary meeting on April 2. According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, the program is realistic and provides for the resumption of economic growth.

At the same time, Head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction David Arakhamia stated that the program would not be approved as submitted and requires follow-up revision, in particular in terms of national security and defense.
