Kuleba sees Budapest Memorandum as 'great topic for endless discussions'

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has said that the Budapest Memorandum can be endlessly discussed, but it is not worth focusing on this topic.

The diplomat stated this live on the Freedom of Speech program on the ICTV channel late on Monday, June 1, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"The Budapest Memorandum is a great topic for endless discussions. There are completely different points of view in this regard. And the question is not to revive it, the question is to ensure its observance, and those who believe that it is possible will certainly make every effort to do so. However, it is impossible to focus exclusively on the Budapest Memorandum, although it also has some potential," Kuleba said.

Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Oleksiy Reznikov earlier told Atlantic Council that in order to stop Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Western world must revise the Budapest Memorandum of 1994.
