Zelensky enacts NSDC decision to extend sanctions against Russian social networks

President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree to put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) “On the Application, Lifting and Amendment of Personal Special Economic and Other Restrictive Measures (Sanctions)”.
The relevant document has been published on the official president’s website.
"To put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine as of May 14, 2020 ‘On the Application, Lifting and Amendment of Personal Special Economic and Other Restrictive Measures (Sanctions),” reads the document.
The decree comes into force on the day of its publication.
In particular, the document requires Internet providers to block access to such resources as Mail.ru (www.mail.ru), Vkontakte (www.vk.com) and Odnoklassniki (www.ok.ru) etc.
