Canada ready to continue providing defense assistance to Ukraine

"Within the framework of development of the military-political dialogue with Ukraine's strategic partners, Defense Minister of Ukraine Andriy Taran held a telephone conversation with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Ukraine Larisa Galadza on April 24. The Ambassador confirmed the unwavering comprehensive support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty and readiness to continue providing assistance to strengthen Ukraine's defense capability," the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine informs.

As noted, the parties discussed important issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular, the priority areas of defense reform and agreed on joint actions for the short term.
