Zelensky met with Saakashvili – President's Office

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has met with former Georgian President and former Chairman of Odesa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili and invited him to share his vision of Ukraine's development with the government and the parliament, the press service of the President's Office has told Ukrinform.

"Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a meeting with former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and talked to him about his vision of possible assistance in the development of Ukraine," the President's Office said.

It added that Saakashvili is a well-known politician on the international stage and has experience of successful implementation of reforms. "President Zelensky believes that Mr. Saakashvili has the potential to support the government of Ukraine and invited him to share his vision and developments with the government and parliament of Ukraine," the President's Office said.

Earlier, Saakashvili said that Zelensky had offered him the post of Ukraine's deputy prime minister for reform and that he had already discussed this issue with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
