Zelensky says Ukrainians should receive all government services online

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has tasked the Cabinet of Ministers with providing an opportunity for Ukrainian citizens to receive all government services online.

He stated this during the presentation of a digital ID passport and a biometric foreign passport in the Diia mobile application in Kyiv on Wednesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"I set such a task to our government so that Ukrainians could receive all services from the state completely online, without having to visit any offices of officials," Zelensky said.

He expressed confidence that the automation of interaction between citizens and the state is, first of all, transparency, an opportunity to follow every step and every decision of officials.

According to him, such innovations are a practical fight against corruption at all levels.

At the same time, Zelensky said that a single state web portal of electronic services was launched in early April, and now Ukrainians can get 27 services online.

He noted that over 100,000 Ukrainians had successfully used the portal since the beginning of April.

"We were the tenth [country] in the world to introduce digital driver's licenses and [vehicle] registration certificates. Now, we have become one of the first [countries] to realize digital passports," Zelensky said.
