Government approves plans of decentralization in three regions

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved perspective plans for the formation of united territorial communities in Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Zhytomyr regions.

"The government is continuing the decentralization reform. The Cabinet of Ministers has approved perspective plans for Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Zhytomyr regions," Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the approved plans will become the basis of the administrative and territorial system in these regions.

"The aim of the Government is to create efficient communities that will have quality services, in particular, in the sectors of education, culture, healthcare, social protection, housing and utility services," the prime minister wrote.

He also stressed that the decentralization reform remains one of the key elements of the country's development.
