Oleksandr Sokolov appointed as acting director of State Bureau of Investigations

Oleksandr Sokolov has been appointed as acting director of the State Bureau of Investigations, according to the press service of the Bureau.
"Due to the appointment of Iryna Venediktova as prosecutor general, Deputy Director Oleksandr Sokolov will be acting director of the State Bureau of Investigations,” reads the statement.
As Ukrinform reported, the Verkhovna Rada on March 17 approved the president’s proposal to appoint acting Director of the State Bureau of Investigations Iryna Venediktova to the post of prosecutor general.
On the same day, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the corresponding decrees.
