U.S. State Department: Russian aggression in Ukraine must stop

The United States Department of State calls on Russia to immediately stop shelling in eastern Ukraine, threatening Moscow with continued international pressure.

"Russian aggression in Ukraine must stop. We will continue to impose costs until Russia respects Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity," U.S. State Department Spokesperson Morgan Ortagus posted on Twitter.

She also added to her post a report on the number of Ukrainian soldiers who were killed and wounded near Pisky in Donetsk region.

On March 10, Russian-occupation troops launched three attacks on our soldiers who defend the approaches to Pisky [11km north-west of Donetsk]. The invaders used anti-tank missile system, hand-held anti-tank and automatic mounted grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms. Two members of the Joint Forces were killed, nine more were wounded.
