"We would like to strengthen the integration function in the defense sector. There is the defense minister. But there is also the defense complex Ukroboronprom, the private defense sector, etc. We have the National Security and Defense Council, which has to take over this integration function, but it would be good to appoint deputy prime minister for defense at the level of the Cabinet,” Arakhamia said.
He also added that after the upcoming rotation in government, four to five new people will be appointed. At the same time, he said, it is unlikely that the post of first deputy prime minister will be established.
As reported, following the decision of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the Verkhovna Rada will hold an extraordinary meeting on March 4. In particular, MPs will consider the issue “on the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine”.
