Yermak, Swedish foreign minister discuss security situation in Donbas

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Ann Linde have discussed the security situation in Donbas and enhancement of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, according to the president’s press service.

"The parties discussed the security situation in Donbas. The minister for foreign affairs of Sweden reiterated the full support for Ukrainian president’s efforts to ensure the peaceful settlement. The minister also confirmed the country's position on maintaining sanctions against Russia until full implementation of the Minsk agreements. In this context, special attention was paid to Sweden's future OSCE chairmanship in 2021," reads the statement.

The parties also discussed the prospects for expanding the activities of Swedish investors in Ukraine and further enhancement of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

Andriy Yermak thanked Ann Linde for the Swedish government’s strong support of Ukraine, first of all, Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as assistance to the government of Ukraine in carrying out reforms.
