The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in two weeks intends to hold a discussion on the bill on all-Ukrainian referendum.

First Deputy Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk stated this at a meeting of the Agenda-Setting Council on Monday, March 2, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"After proofreading and legal approval, the bill on the all-Ukrainian referendum on Tuesday or Wednesday will be posted on the parliament’s website with one purpose: so that everyone who wants can get acquainted with it... and then in two weeks discuss this draft law,” said Stefanchuk.

As Ukrinform reported, the Servant of the People party is developing five bills that provide for the introduction of the rule of the people in Ukraine. These are the bills on the all-Ukrainian and local referendums, on the introduction of legislative initiatives of the people, on the people's veto.

On February 28, the Verkhovna Rada’s working group on the development of draft laws in the field of the rule of the people approved the final version of the draft law on the all-Ukrainian referendum, which is planned to be submitted for public discussion.
