Rada ratifies Ukrainian-Lithuanian intergovernmental agreement on labor migration

The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, has adopted a law ratifying the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Lithuania on employment and cooperation in the field of labor migration.

A total of 324 MPs voted for the document at a parliament meeting on Wednesday, February 5, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

The agreement is aimed at strengthening cooperation and providing mutual assistance in protecting the rights and interests of workers of both countries, which will facilitate the exercise of the right to work.

The implementation of the relevant law will help strengthen and develop cooperation in ensuring the protection of the rights and interests of workers of both countries and ensure the fight against illegal labor.

At the same time, the implementation of the act will not affect the market environment, protection of the rights and interests of economic entities, development of regions, increasing or decreasing the capacity of territorial communities, public health, ecology and the environment, other social relations.
