Zelensky, Putin agree on immediate approval of lists for new prisoner exchange

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of Russia Vladimir Putin have agreed during a phone conversation to immediately approve the lists for new prisoner exchange.

"President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with President of Russia Vladimir Putin. The heads of state congratulated each other on upcoming holidays and mutual release of detained persons, which took place on December 29. In addition, the parties welcomed the recent signing of a contract for Russian gas transit through the territory of Ukraine," The President’s Office posted on Facebook.

Moreover, the heads of state agreed to immediately proceed to the approval of lists for the release of Ukrainians, including Crimeans held in Crimea and Russia, and Russians held in Ukraine.

The parties expressed their hope that the complete ceasefire along the demarcation line in Donbas will start to be observed in the near future.
