EU Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy to visit Ukraine soon

Head of the Support Group for Ukraine at the European Commission Peter Wagner stated this at a meeting of the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Association Committee in Strasbourg on Wednesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

“A visit of the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations to Ukraine is being prepared. A specific date will be announced in the coming days,” the representative of the European Commission said.

He noted that the issue of Ukraine, which continues to implement democratic reforms, remains important on the agenda of the European Union. “Ukraine today is a completely different country than it was five years ago. The reforms are moving forward quickly. It is necessary to use such dynamics and complete a number of important reforms,” Wagner said.
