Sheremet murder case: Court places Kuzmenko and Antonenko under arrest

Kyiv's Pechersky District Court has chosen a measure of restraint against ATO veteran Andriy Antonenko in the form of detention until February 8.

Judge Serhiy Vovk read out a respective ruling at a court session on Friday, December 13, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

The court also placed doctor and volunteer Yulia Kuzmenko under arrest until February 8.

Earlier in the day, the court placed another suspect, Yana Duhar, under round-the-clock house arrest until the same date.

As reported, investigators probing the murder of journalist Pavlo Sheremet suspect five people, in particular, doctor and volunteer Yulia Kuzmenko, volunteer fighters of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Vladyslav Hryshchenko and Inna Hryshchenko, paratrooper battalion nurse Yana Duhar, and ATO veteran Andriy Antonenko.

Journalist Pavlo Sheremet was killed in a car explosion in Kyiv on July 20, 2016.
