The government will allocate an additional UAH 786 million for technical rehabilitation equipment for people with disabilities.

Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk wrote this on his Facebook page on the International Day of People with Disabilities, which is internationally marked on December 3.

“For the first time in many years, we will fully provide people with disabilities with rehabilitation equipment (wheelchairs, prostheses, and orthoses). We are allocating an additional UAH 786 million to already provided UAH 1 billion. These funds will be spent of the production of about 250,000 items for adults and children,” Honcharuk wrote.

According to him, regional social security offices receive funds that have not been sent in time due to changes in funding procedures. "This situation is not acceptable. The funds should be in the regions as soon as possible,” the prime minister added.
