Cabinet of Ministers outlines European integration priorities
"Our European integration priorities are economic growth through strengthening and protecting competition in the energy sector, in the infrastructure sector, which is directly related to our European integration commitments. We will focus on this in the coming months," Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk said at a briefing after the Government meeting dedicated to European integration, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The Prime Minister also considers that the Government cannot predict when Ukraine will be able to stop falling behind the Association Agreement implementation schedule.
"I think it's early to make any promises. We have objective factors that limit us. Our limit is the throughput capability of the Ukrainian parliament," he explained.
Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Dmytro Kuleba, for his part, added that talks on the Agreement on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products (ACAA) – the so-called "industrial visa-free regime" – are among Government's European integration short-term priorities.
