Zelensky creates delegation to participate in meeting of contracting parties to CCW Convention

President Volodymyr Zelensky has approved the composition of a delegation to participate in the annual meeting of the High Contracting Parties to the Convention on prohibitions or restrictions on the use of certain conventional weapons (CCW), which will take place in Geneva.

The relevant decree, No.809/2019, has been published on the president’s website.

"To create a Ukrainian delegation to participate in the annual conference of the High Contracting Parties to the Convention on prohibitions or restrictions on the use of certain conventional weapons which may be deemed to be excessively injurious or to have indiscriminate effects, as well as in the 21st Annual Conference of the Contracting Parties to Protocol ІІ and the 30th Conference of the Contracting Parties to Protocol V of the Convention (November 11-15, Geneva, the Kingdom of Sweden),” reads the document.

According to the decree, Serhiy Rokun, deputy head of the Defense Ministry’s department for environmental safety and mine action, has been appointed as head of the delegation. Apart from him, the delegation includes six more officials.
