Sweden supports extension of sanctions pressure on Russia

Sweden's stance on support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, maintenance of the Crimean issue on the international agenda, and extension of sanctions pressure on Russia is unchanged.

Foreign Minister of Sweden Ann Linde made a corresponding statement during a meeting with Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko in Stockholm, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine reports.

"During the meeting, the parties discussed the dynamics of bilateral dialogue, including at a high level. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden confirmed the unwavering support of the Swedish side for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, its clear stance on maintenance of the issue of Crimea occupied by Russia on the international agenda and extension of sanctions pressure on Russia," the statement reads.

According to the press service, the effectiveness of the Ukrainian government's efforts to implement internal reforms was praised.
