Volodymyr Dudka and Oleksiy Bessarabov, convicted by a Russian court in the case of "Ukrainian saboteurs", were transferred from the Matrosskaya Tishina Moscow pre-trial detention center in an unknown direction.

Crimea. Realities portal reports this with reference to the written response of the Matrosskaya Tishina administration.

"The administration of the Pre-trial detention center No.1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russia Federation informs you that the letter... cannot be handed because the detainee has left for another institution," the response reads.

Dudka's son Illia Kavernikov also said that Moscow’s pre-trial detention center refused to take medicines for his father. He suggested that Dudka and Bessarabov were being transferred to the occupied Crimea.

“The pre-trial detention center did not accept the medicines for my father, saying that such a convict does not stay in their center. In addition, I received similar replies to my letters. Probably, they are again transferred to a pre-trial detention center in Simferopol,” Kavernikov said.

As reported, employees of the Crimean think tank "Nomos" Dmytro Shtyblikov and Oleksiy Bessarabov, as well as their close friend Volodymyr Dudka, were detained in Sevastopol on November 9, 2016. All three men were charged with alleged preparation of sabotage attacks in Crimea at the request of Ukrainian intelligence.
