Razumkov meets with heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Ukraine
“Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov has met with the heads of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Ukraine. During the meeting, the speaker drew attention to the necessary steps by the international community that could facilitate the settlement of the armed conflict in the occupied territories in eastern Ukraine and Crimea,” reads the report.
Razumkov said that at present many countries seek peace, as well as Ukraine.
“You understand that we are in difficult conditions now. It is not only about the economic component, but also about the issues that both our country and the world today are facing: the struggle for territorial integrity and independence. And now, unfortunately, we are at the forefront of this process. But I am convinced that with your support, we will be able to overcome this difficult way,” Razumkov said.
The speaker also said that the changes taking place in Ukraine are the result of team work of government.
Razumkov assured Ukraine's readiness to deepen cooperation with international partners, both in bilateral format and within multilateral diplomacy. He stressed that Ukraine would be grateful for advisory, informative, economic and international support of various diplomatic institutions operating in Ukraine.
In turn, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Ukraine, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Montenegro to Ukraine Ljubomir Misurovic thanked the Ukrainian side for hospitality and noted that the ambitious reforms launched in Ukraine are not easy to carry out in any country in the world. At the same time, he assured the readiness of the international community to support Ukraine in its desire to maintain independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty.
