Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Dmytro Kuleba met with the ministers responsible for European integration and urged that every effort be made to prepare a meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Committee.

"The meeting participants discussed the format of cooperation and priorities, in particular, the preparation for the EU-Ukraine Association Committee and the EU-Ukraine Association Council meetings, which will be held in Brussels in November and December respectively," the Government portal reports.

As noted, the EU-Ukraine Association Committee meeting, which will take place on November 5 with the participation of the deputy ministers, will be used as a platform to discuss priority cooperation issues with the EU side for further consideration within the Association Council. These issues include strengthening justice, freedom and security cooperation (key components: integrated border management, cyber security and legal cooperation); economic cooperation, in particular in the context of macro-financial assistance, tax and customs reform, cooperation with OLAF; sectoral cooperation and specific priorities for sectoral integration with the EU, in particular, energy markets; joint monitoring of the Agreement implementation, further updating of the annexes to the Agreement, taking into account the dynamics of the EU law development and Ukraine’s sectoral integration priorities, etc.

Kuleba also outlined plans for creation of European integration offices in the regions, noting that opening offices with a focus on eastern and southern regions of Ukraine should promote "decentralization of European integration."
