A large-scale prisoner swap between Ukraine and Russia is planned next week.

"Zelensky plan provides... to return our captives who are held behind bars in the occupied areas of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, in Russia, and in the occupied Crimea. These steps are being taken little by little. We managed to exchange our people. In the near future, I hope, literally next week , we plan even larger-scale exchange," Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko said on the air of 1+1 TV channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

On September 7, Ukraine and Russia held 35-for-35 prisoner swap. In particular, 24 Ukrainian prisoners of war and 11 political prisoners returned home, including film director Oleg Sentsov and Paris-based Ukrinform correspondent Roman Sushchenko.
