Denisova, Siebert discuss release of Ukrainians imprisoned in Russia

Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova has met with Director for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia of the German Federal Foreign Office Michael Siebert within the framework of the 16th Yalta European Strategy (YES) Annual Meeting in Kyiv.

"I’ve met with [Director for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia of the German Federal Foreign Office] Michael Siebert during the forum. I expressed gratitude for the support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and cooperation with the representative of their country in the EU... We discussed the process of release of Ukrainian citizens on September 7 and further steps to free our citizens who are still imprisoned in the territory of the Russian Federation and Crimea," Denisova posted on Facebook.

During the meeting, Denisova expressed her gratitude for the cooperation with German citizen - EU Ambassador to Russia Markus Ederer - who actively assisted in solving the problems of Ukrainian prisoners connected with the state of health and provision of medical care.
