Another transfer of Ukrainian prisoners from the temporarily occupied areas of Luhansk region to the government-controlled territory of Ukraine took place near Shchastia (20km north of Luhansk) today.

Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova wrote about this on her Facebook page on Thursday.

"Today, on the bridge in Shchastia, there was another transfer of 54 citizens of Ukraine, who were held in the penitentiary institutions in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region and were detained or were serving their sentences for crimes at the time of the occupation of Donbas," she wrote.

She recalled that this was the seventh stage of the transfer of prisoners from ORLO. According to Denisova, from December 2018 till the present day, some 373 convicts were transferred from the occupied Donbas to the government-controlled territory of Ukraine.
