Parliamentary committee supports dissolution of CEC

The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on State Building, Regional Policy, and Local Government has supported the submission by President Volodymyr Zelensky on the early dismissal of the Central Election Commission (CEC) members and will develop an appropriate resolution.
At the same time, the relevant document is not available on the parliament’s website, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
As Ukrinform reported, the press service of the parliament earlier confirmed that the president had made a submission to the Verkhovna Rada regarding the early dismissal of the CEC members.
The Verkhovna Rada approved the current composition of the CEC on September 20, 2018.
