Zelensky submits bills on amendments to Constitution

President Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada some bills on amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine.

The relevant report has been posted on the parliament’s website.

In particular, the president offered MPs to consider bill No.1017 "On Amendments to Articles 76 and 77 of the Constitution of Ukraine (concerning the reduction of the constitutional composition of the Verkhovna Rada and the consolidation of the proportional electoral system)".

Also, Zelensky submitted bill No.1016 "On Amendments to Articles 85 and 101 of the Constitution of Ukraine (concerning the commissioners of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine)" and bill No.1015 "On Amendments to Article 93 of the Constitution of Ukraine (on the legislative initiative of the people)".

In addition, Zelensky submitted bill No.1014 to amend Article 106 of the Constitution to consolidate the powers of the president to form independent regulatory bodies, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, appoint and dismiss the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the director of the State Bureau of Investigations.

Another presidential bill No. 1013 offers abolishing the lawyer's monopoly.

At the same time, the texts of these bills and their accompanying documents have not been yet published on the parliament’s website.
