Macron announces Normandy format summit in September

G7 leaders supported the idea of holding the Normandy Four summit in the coming weeks.
French President Emmanuel Macron made a corresponding statement at the final press conference on the results of the G7 summit, which ended in French Biarritz, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
Macron, in particular, made public a short G7 leaders’ declaration which had been adopted instead of traditional communiqué.
“France and Germany will organize a Normandy format summit in the coming weeks to achieve tangible results,” the statement reads.
Macron specified that the Normandy format summit could be held in September.
Earlier, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that the summit would be held in Paris.
