Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that the Council of Veterans will be created at the Presidential Office and an authorized representative of volunteers will be appointed.

He stated this in a speech during the second international volunteer and veterans’ forum “Ukraine Is Where We Are,” according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"The Council of Volunteers is being set up at the Presidential Office of Ukraine and an authorized representative of volunteers will be appointed," he said.

Zelensky also stated that he knew about vital issues for veterans and volunteers and assured that the state would provide assistance to them in healthcare, rehabilitation, and social adaptation, the issues of getting land, housing, and preferential customs clearance of cars.

At the same time, the president stressed that after uniting a number of committees of the Verkhovna Rada of the future convocation, their functions would not disappear.

Zelensky promised veterans that “the new Verkhovna Rada will do everything necessary to protect your rights, and all the necessary laws will be adopted”.
