Chargé d'Affaires in Ukraine: US interested in joining Normandy format

"Of course, other members of the Normandy format need to say what they think about the accession of the US or the UK, but I can say that we are interested in this proposal," U.S. Chargé d'Affaires a.i. in Ukraine William Taylor said in an interview with the Yevropeiska Pravda online newspaper.

According to the ambassador, Kurt Volker represents the United States at these negotiations.

"He says he is interested in such changes and already discusses this issue," Taylor noted.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky offered President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin holding talks in Minsk with the participation of the US President, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, the German Chancellor and the French President.

Last week, the Foreign Ministry of France stated that the possibility of the Normandy format expansion through the accession of the United States was not considered.
