Arrest of defendants in Alushta Hizb ut-Tahrir case extended for three months

The arrest of four Crimean Tatars, who were detained during searches in the occupied Crimea on June 10, was extended until November 5.
“On August 1, the Kremlin-controlled Kyivsky District Court of Simferopol extended the arrest of defendants in the Alushta Hizb ut-Tahrir case, who had been detained on June 10,” the Crimea.Realities reports.
Ruslan Mesutov, Ruslan Nagayev, Eldar Kantimirov and Lenur Khalilov will remain in custody until November 5.
As reported, mass illegal searches of houses and detention of Crimean Tatars took place in Alushta, Bilohirsk and Simferopol districts of temporarily occupied Crimea on June 10.
The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine called on the international community to increase pressure on the Russian Federation in connection with the mass illegal searches of homes and the detentions of Crimean Tatars.
