Ukrainian president, Indian prime minister discuss military and technical cooperation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi, according to the president’s press service.

Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Narendra Modi on his convincing victory in the national parliamentary elections and his re-election as India's prime minister.

The interlocutors emphasized the need to intensify political dialogue at the highest level, in particular, agreed on mutual visits in the near future. They also discussed ways to strengthen economic ties between the two states and to expand military and technical cooperation.

The parties noted the desire of Indian youth to study in higher education institutions of Ukraine, the growing attention of Indian filmmaking to our country, and the traditional popularity of India among Ukrainians.
