Advisers to Normandy Four leaders agree on ‘harvest ceasefire’ in Donbas
Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko stated this at a briefing on Tuesday, July 16, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"Generally speaking, the talks were productive and pragmatic, and we managed to achieve some agreements. In particular, we came to an agreement on ceasefire - the so-called "harvest ceasefire”, on the disengagement of troops and weapons, and on the demining efforts near Stanytsia Luhanska and two other areas that had been negotiated before. Besides, more areas were designated to be demined and disengaged,” he commented on the results of the meeting.
At the same time, Prystaiko added that the ceasefire regime had been already announced 18 times, but he assured that "we are not losing optimism, and the task is to ensure the continuity of the current ceasefire."
He reminded that the meeting had been also attended by his colleagues from France, Germany and Russia.
As Ukrinform reported, the meeting of the foreign policy advisers to the leaders of the Normandy Four states took place on July 12.
