President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky introduced Vitaliy Komarnytsky as new head of Luhansk Regional State Administration.

The presentation was held during Zelensky's working visit to Luhansk region on July 7, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to the president, the mission of the region’s head is to find opportunities to rebuild Luhansk region. "For our country, an important priority is the end of the war. In parallel, you can find opportunities to rebuild Donbas. We flew over the region with Mr. Donald Tusk [President of the European Council] and saw ruined houses, the absence of roads. I think that this is not only because of the war, but also because nobody cares. Congratulations. We have high hopes for you," he said.

In turn, Vitaliy Komarnytsky thanked for the trust, and noted that it was possible to implement the tasks set.
