Canada, Lithuania to assist Ukraine in developing infrastructure - Chrystia Freeland

Ukrinform
Canada and Lithuania have agreed to help Ukraine to develop its infrastructure, according to Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland.

In a post on Twitter, she wrote: “Together with my counterpart, Linas Linkevicius, Canada and Lithuania signed a partnership agreement to work together to bring assistance to infrastructure in Ukraine”.

She also added that Lithuania would take over as the next co-host of the Ukraine Reform Conference in Toronto in 2020.

As Ukrinform reported, the Ukraine Reform Conference in Toronto will last until July 4.

A similar event took place in Copenhagen in 2018 and in London in 2017. The main purpose of the conference is to familiarize international partners with Ukraine’s achievements in implementing systemic reforms, as well as outline further directions of cooperation and practical assistance to Ukraine on this path.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Canada together with a large government delegation headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv, as well as representatives of nonprofit and private sectors.
