President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky urged business representatives to invest in the development of Ukraine, the press service of the head of state has reported.

"Six months ago, I decided to invest in Ukraine the most valuable thing I have - my time. I urge you to do the same. Invest time, money, ideas in Ukraine. Let us change Ukraine together," the president said during the forum "Dialogue Between State Authorities and Business" held in Kyiv on June 20.

Zelensky noted that he and his assistants carefully examined the experience of countries that had managed to achieve success and significant development. All of them have been investing primarily in education, technology and infrastructure.

"Ukraine will do the same. The role of the state in the economy over the next five years will be reduced to three things. The first thing is not to hinder the work of business. The second is to build an excellent infrastructure and conditions to make doing business in Ukraine convenient. The third thing is the focus on education, science and technology," the president said.

He noted that in order to achieve that goal, he and his team were looking for creative, breakthrough and innovative solutions. He promised to tell about them in details shortly.

"Of course, we set ourselves ambitious goals and we will appeal for your support in their achievement. Meanwhile, I am very grateful to you for creating jobs and paying taxes," the head of state stressed.

The president also assured that entrepreneurs would have equal conditions in the state. "I do not offer any preferences - just fair rules, same for all. No monopolies. No more rules. Only the rules under which we as a country can win," he said.

According to Zelensky, the transition from a poor country to an average income country is not so difficult - there are recipes and well-known stories of success. He is convinced that Ukraine will achieve such a level over the next five years.
