Ukrinform
Germany expects Ukrainian President Zelensky to make progress in reforms and would like to provide him with support in combating corruption and resolving the conflict in Donbas.

According to Deutsche Welle, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said this in an interview with German publishing association Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland.

According to Maas, Germany would like to provide Zelensky with support so that "the hopes of Ukrainians come true." "This, on the one hand, concerns the reform process, especially the anti-corruption struggle. But first and foremost, this concerns hope for peace," the German foreign minister said.

According to the report, Germany and France will continue to make efforts to implement the Minsk agreements that, according to the minister, remain "a plan towards resolving the conflict in the east of Ukraine."

"We will also demand a constructive contribution from Russia, for example, the release of captured Ukrainian soldiers," Maas said.
