Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Presidential Administration on Wednesday, June 12.

Tymoshenko wrote this on her Facebook page.

"I've held a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky in his administration," Tymoshenko wrote.

According to her, during the meeting they spoke about the situation in the country, early parliamentary elections and how to implement changes that people expect from the new government.

Tymoshenko said at a congress of the Batkivshchyna All-Ukrainian Association on June 10 that her party was ready to unite in a new parliament into a coalition with the party of President Volodymyr Zelensky and other democratic pro-European forces. She also called on the leaders of the Servant of the People and Holos (Voice) parties to combine efforts in some single-member constituencies and nominate single candidates.

Tymoshenko also said on the ICTV channel that Batkivshchyna would not be in opposition to the authorities even if the party does not enter the parliamentary coalition.
